ARACHI Urban Alebrije from Santa Cecilia / Taller del Desierto [Eng] The ISAD, Institute of Architecture and Design of Chihuahua, organizes each summer the workshop called “Taller del Desierto”. This year they proposed to us, ENORME Studio to direct together with the local architects Juan Castillo and Miguel Heredia a new edition of the workshop, destined to build a small urban infrastructure in the Santa Cecilia neighborhood in Chihuahua. In a small park, which is the heart of the colony, several communities and associations come together with different interests but with the same needs. On the one hand, a group of mothers, children and girls from Umbral Foundation try to become Mariachis, following in the footsteps of the founders of the colony. On the other, the parishioners continue to build themselves the church of Santa Cecilia, still unfinished but already in use. The association of Elders of the colony has become the caretakers of the park and they need an outdoor space ...

LACKTOPIA for LA NAVE A Lack Tables Utopia The Lack table is just a domestic Pop icon. Only in 2016 more than 9 million were sold worldwide and more than 300,000 of them in Spain ... Since its birth in 1980 as a search for maximum material efficiency without renouncing design by IKEA, the Lack table has suffered thousands of hacks and tributes that have become a fundamental element to build other furniture from understanding the Lack as a fundamental unit.

PICNCITOPIA FESTIVAL ASALTO [ENG] The Picnic table has been forgotten in contemporary public space. Too strong to be ranked as one of design hits of urban furniture but so functional that nobody is reluctant to use it, either from its primary function as a table or through hundreds of different configurations, from ping pong table to makeshift stage.
