"El Olimpo" was a wasteland steep among trees that the students of the RESAD wanted to colonize for some time. Filled with brush, the terrain was almost impracticable. After several co-design sessions, we considered reconstructing an artificial topography that could serve both as an open-air amphitheater for the multiple representations of this School of Theater and at the same time a public space with spectacular views of Madrid. Through several days of work, ENORME Studio together with more than sixty people from the University community built a new topography with more than 5000 concrete blocks and generated a new shadow with twenty red flags, a color with many theatrical references .
Now "El Olimpo" is a vibrant, colorful and relaxing public space within the university.
